Kowloon BJJ was established in May, 2005 with the intention of creating a friendly and happy home for all members to train and enjoy the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu together as equals. Kowloon BJJ members range from the active BJJ competitor to the sports-fitness enthusiasts. No matter your age or objectives, Kowloon BJJ is for you. We truly stick by our motto of grappling for all. Daikichi won 3 round boxing match at Planet Battle held on 5th December. He won all 3 boxing matches in this year and now preparing for his next fight against Thai boxer at upcoming professional event in Hongkong in Februrary 2012. 
KLNBJJ will host his boxing class for MMA fighters from March, please check it out.

Our boxing instructor 'Daikichi' again made it!, he won a professional
boxing match held in Samoa island!! He is now looking for next opportunity
of fighting in professional match, it would be in September in Hongkong!

The Ninja is Coming

KLN BJJ proudly brings 2011 brown belt world champion, Lee "The Ninja" Sang Su as our guest instructor for a month. Lee is a technical fighter with a lot of competition experience. He is originally from Nagoya, Japan and trains under Prof. Makoto Ikuta, who is also very good friend and one of the teachers of KLN BJJ. Thank you very much to Ikuta-san for bringing this opportunity to Hong Kong! Thanks Kojima-san for helping to arrange his coming

Takifestival and Grand Opening Roundup

Thanks to everyone who helped at the opening party.  It was a pretty epic party with lots of fun and games.  The punisher and friend put on a magic show, there was a sumo wrestling contest, and a tuna cutting demonstration!

Kowloon BJJ Presents: A Black Belt Promotion

This is the official announcement for the Black Belt promotion party of Takizawa Keisuke! There will be lots of fun and games:

  • Maybe a sumo wrestling tournament
  • Maybe a magic show
  • Maybe the punisher will arrive
  • Maybe Sakeman 2: The Revenge of Sakeman will take place.

There will be the official promotion ceremony and the official whipping. Foods and drinks all around so reserve the day!

All Classes will Take Place at the New Gym

The New Gym is now operational at 11th Floor, Park Hovan Commercial Building, 18 Hillwood Road, Jordan. Please don't go to the old gym there wont be anymore classes there. The new place has nice new mats, no stink and very clean new toilets. There are two showers with hot water and a changing room so there is privacy while changing. The mat space is over 1600 sq ft enough for 6 or 7 pairs to roll at one time. Thanks to Taki, Donnie and all the rest for all the hard work setting it up!

Nishi is now Blue Belt!

Taki awarded Nishi "The Dynamite Samurai" his bluebelt after winning in the competition last Sunday.  All though Nishi is a chef and can only train we work allows he has been consistently training for a few years.

United BJJ Tournament HKBJJ April 24, 2011 Results

Here are the results:
KLN BJJ got the 2nd place in the team standing.  Everyone did a fantastic job and gave it their all.  Thanks to everyone who helped to take video and cheer on their teamates.  Afterwards we partied KLN BJJ style if you missed it then you missed some fun. Lets train hard for the next competition!

Individual Results
Chelsea - Re-injured her knee during a takedown in the opening moments of her first fight but continued even though she was in pain, lost on points.  Fortunately there is no tear and the knee will be ok.
Kojima - 2nd Place Weight Class 1st Place Absolute He lost in the first match of his weight class to the same guy he beat in the final of the absolute, won by arm bar

Awa - 3rd Place Leve Blue Belt (lost on adv points only)
Jacky - Lost in Leve first match but fought well with the mud butt (No Sashimi before comp guys)
Ryan - Lost a close first match in blue belt pluma
Tom - 1st Place Weight Class 2nd Place White Belt absolute
Nishi - 1st Place Weight Class Quarter Finals Absolut.  Nishi choked a much bigger opponent in the absolute division
Yan - Lost close first match
Fai - 2nd Place White Belt Leve. 
Ken - Lost a very close first match didnt give up even in bad triangle
Phillip - Fought only absolute gave it his all but lost by armbar
Father Joe - Lost a close first match in Medio White Belt
